We are one of the region’s leading, family-owned and family-managed building companies, renowned for our quality, care and specialist skills. We provide the very best in building, restoration, maintenance, landscaping and project management for building projects of all sizes.
Two of our directors, Bill and Tim Moulding, are part of the original Moulding family who started the business over 200 years ago.
THE SIZE AND THE REACH
Over the past decade, we have consistently employed over 100 craftsmen and women, of various trade skills on a wide variety of building projects. From spectacular country house schemes for private individuals, historical building repairs for ecclesiastical organisations, to small residential extensions, alterations, and general maintenance and repairs. We are actively working on projects within a 50 mile radius of our Salisbury based offices, including Oxford, Weymouth, Swanage, Wincanton and Winchester.
Tradition, Quality and Passion
The demands and expectation of buildings have changed over the years but the fundamentals of building and our craft remain the same. Everything we do is driven by the latest building standards and techniques, underpinned with the passion of our dedicated team and a core understanding of traditional materials and skills.
Eight Generations of Building since 1798
During the reign of George III, William Moulding established himself as a Master Mason in 1798 in the Wiltshire village of Aldbourne. In his lifetime, he developed a building business that has successfully transitioned through eight successive generations, 9 monarchs, two World Wars and over two centuries of trading. William Moulding's 2nd Great Grandson, Richard, moved the business to the village of South Newton in the early 20th Century from which it still trades today, under the same family ownership and management.
